Meet the Principal

My name is Karen DeLaPlante and I am the very PROUD principal of Glendale Elementary School. This is my third year serving our Glendale Community as building principal and my eighth year serving our beloved Sweet Home Community! My love for Sweet Home and our Panthers, continues to grow each year I am here. Our Panthers continue to amaze me with their hard work, leadership and dedication to our Glendale Community.

As educators we have the power to change the direction of our students' lives and have a positive influence on the lives of future generations. Only by working with every part of our Sweet Home Community can we meet the responsibility of providing our students with unique learning experiences and emotional growth for every Panther. Working together we can provide the best possible education for all of our children. Learning is a never ending process that leads to opportunities and has a profound positive impact on our Sweet Home students, families and community. I have great respect and appreciation for our Sweet Home Staff that provide endless opportunities for every student. I am committed to building quality relationships with all of the students, families, and staff members across our district to provide an invaluable, unique, and cherished experience that only someone from Sweet Home knows, gets, and holds onto. A true vision for our students from all ages, in all buildings, working together to grow, learn and support one another while having an experience that they will never forget.
